The London Book Fair takes place 5-7 of April, and we're hosting an event on site. Read on for advice on making the most of London's hottest publishing event of the year.
Pre-book and print your badge for a smooth entrance to the fair. General visitor tickets will allow you entry to all three days of the fair, so you can be flexible about when you choose to visit.
Don’t forget the conferences! These one-day programmes are designed to give you the inside track on various topics and set you up for success. Conferences this year will include Introduction to Rights, The Writers’ Summit and The Research & Scholarly Publishing Forum, and tickets also give you general admittance to the fair.
Review the COVID safety guidelines ahead of attending The London Book Fair so you know which measures will be in place to keep you safe during the fair. These can be found on the homepage.
Plan – use The London Book Fair website to review the programme and ensure that you know which sessions and event streams are on which day. An app will also be launching this year to make it easier to keep track of the sessions you most want to attend while you’re on site.
Check out each programming stream so you can learn more about key discussions across the industry, including Digital Innovation, Translation, Future Trends and more.
Don’t miss the keynote speeches, a chance to hear prominent figures in publishing and beyond discussing the issues being tackled within the industry, trends that will shape the future and the innovative work already underway. These are very popular sessions so if you want to attend, make sure you arrive early.
Check out who is exhibiting at LBF 2022 by searching the Exhibitor Directory on the website. Remember, most will have pre-arranged meetings, so ensure you reach out and book a meeting before you arrive.
Swing by the New Title Showcase to learn more about new and upcoming titles from international publishers of every size.
Visit the Illustrators Gallery to discover upcoming illustrator talent and network with those involved in design.
Be aware of on-demand sessions when planning your itinerary – your visitor ticket will give you access to watch events online after the fair, perfect if you want to see more than one at the same time!
Don’t forget to provide feedback after The London Book Fair to help shape programming, content, and organisation of future fairs.
