I'm not sure about all of you but I have a real phobia around punctuation. An old writing tutor once said to me that I just stand over text and sprinkle punctuation at random. So I was really pleased to hear of our member, Dominic Selwood's new book, Punctuation Without Tears: Punctuate Confidently - In Minutes.
The book is easy to understand, covers American and British English, isn't loaded with technical jargon, gives simple guidance with clear examples and is illustrated by Delia Johnson.
Aimed at fiction and non-fiction writers, schools and colleges and those working in business, this essential guide is accessible to people of all ages.
It's been getting some rave reviews too, just get a load of these:
“I wish every one of my students would read this! Be clear! Be creative! Be consistent!” Professor Stephen Tucker — Department of Physics, University of Oxford, UK
“This book will set you free. A magical manual.” Tim Gow —The Daily Express, UK
“What a wonderful book! A must-read for everyone. The fear is removed and a whole world of wonderful opportunities awaits you as a writer, storyteller, editor, and lover of language!” Helen Lewis — Director of Literally PR. Co-Founder of The Author School and Hashtag Press, UK
Punctuation Without Tears is £7.99 in print and £1.19 in e-book and can be purchased via Amazon here.
