We held this event last year and it was a lovely end to the year before the business of the festive season, so we do hope you can join us this special 90 minute virtual session. In this workshop, we will share our celebrations and learnings from 2025 and look ahead to plan what we want to achieve in 2026. This session is your chance to step outside of the normal busy hustle and to do lists of this time of year and pause to reflect on the past year and to take a moment to celebrate and honour how far you’ve come. You will then start to make a plan for how you want 2026 to feel and be, identify what you are ready to focus on and most importantly create a practical plan for how you are going to achieve what you want to. This is the workshop for you if you want to get really clear on what you want to achieve next year and have an actionable plan on how you are going to work towards that. Your goals might be writing related, or something else entirely and this session will help you make a plan, whatever your focus is. Hosted by Kelly Weekes, ICF Accredited coach, this will be a nurturing and uplifting way to end the Byte the Book year and to set your intentions and plans for 2026. #getreadyfor2026 #authorscommunity

We had an incredible night at the @century_soho celebrating a new platform at our London event: Launching BookBindr – an exciting new way of collaborating in publishing, brought to you by Byte The Book and Bookswarm 📚 We had wonderful evening full to the brim with networking, discussion, and making meaningful connections across the industry. We heard from publishing experts during the panel as they explored the future of publishing and how authors can work with different professionals in the publishing industry to get their books out in the world and read! #BookBindr This special panel was chaired by @_thebookseller’s Editor Philip Jones, with our two speakers and co-founders of BookBindr: @justinesolomons - director and founder of Byte The Book, and Simon Appleby (@bookswarm1977) - founder of Bookswarm. Our special panel discussed the future of publishing following the rise of the independent author and the pandemic’s legacy on the publishing industry’s workforce. This led on to explore how BookBindr aims to connect publishers and authors with "skilled, vetted industry freelancers".
