My name is Martin Hickman and I'm Managing Director of Canbury Press, a non-fiction book published based in London. We're keen to hear from authors who have a factual book, whether a biography or about business, history, politics, health and technology.
I'm a journalist (Reuters, The Independent) and best-selling author turned book publisher, so I know just how daunting and complicated the industry can seem at first to writers. With decades of experience in journalism and publishing, I also know how to turn a good idea into a great book.
At Canbury, we often work with debut authors and offer a 'one-stop shop,' looking after everything from editing to cover design, and from printing to marketing. As well as our main conventional publishing business Canbury, we have two new imprints which can speed authors into print: Haythorp Books, a subsidy publisher, and Acropolis Publishing Services, which offers a complete package for self-publishing.
