Do you have something that's getting in the way of your writing or author career? This is your chance to talk it through
We all get stuck sometimes.
Maybe you're procrastinating on something you really want to get done. You've lost your momentum. You're struggling with self-doubt or perfectionism. A rejection has knocked your confidence. You're comparing yourself to other authors and wondering if you're doing enough.
Or perhaps it's something else entirely: a decision you're struggling to make, a career question you keep going round in circles about, discomfort around visibility or self-promotion, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everything you think you should be doing.
The Sticking Point Sessions are free 20-minute conversations where you can bring whatever is currently getting in your way.
You don't need to have a neatly defined problem, and you don't need to know what you need help with. Just bring the thing that's been bothering you, taking up headspace or stopping you from moving forward.
Kelly will listen, ask questions and help you unpick what's going on. Sometimes, talking something through with someone who understands the realities of being an author is enough to help you see it differently.
You might leave with a practical next step. You might make a decision you've been putting off. You might realise that the thing you've been struggling with is more normal than you thought. Or you might simply feel a little clearer about what you want to do next.
These sessions are about the things that can make it difficult to write, keep going, make decisions and navigate life as an author.
Twenty minutes isn't long enough to solve everything, and that's not the point. It's a chance to stop for a moment, talk honestly about what's going on, and see if we can find the next step forward
The sessions are hosted by Kelly Weekes, an ICF-accredited coach, with extensive publishing experience at Hodder & Stoughton and HarperCollins.
Kelly understands that being an author isn't just about writing a good book. It's also about dealing with uncertainty, rejection, confidence, motivation, expectations, other people's opinions and all the inevitable ups and downs along the way.
