Andy is an author and writing coach. His first novel, Crow Court, is set in Wimborne Minster in 1840 and is published by Unbound. Crow Court was longlisted in the Desmond Elliott Prize 2021, shortlisted by the Crime Writer's Association for the Historical Dagger Award 2022 and voted "Best British Novel" at the Festival du Premier Roman de Chambéry 2022. Alice Jolly said of Crow Court that "It is inventive, original and deeply moving," Eithne Farry, writing in the Daily Mail, called it a "clever, elegantly constructed and utterly compelling debut" and it was described by Ben Myers as "unbelievably accomplished." .
Andy is a certified coach, and an NLP practitioner and master practitioner. He coaches authors and creative writers to find their own method, rhythm and writing voice. He is a fierce champion of his coaching clients and works with them to turn self-questioning and self-doubt into useful creative tools.
