Member event: The Original Suffrage Cook Book Launch & How the Vote Was Won Exhibition, Twickenham

In this centenary year, a rare chance to see the popular touring exhibition about the suffragettes’ campaign to win the right to vote for women.

In addition, on 26th September 2018, local arts charity Aurora Metro will be launching the new edition of THE ORIGINAL SUFFRAGE COOKBOOK, first published in 1915 to raise funds for the cause and compiled by Mrs L.O. Kleber. Books will be available at a reduced price and signed by the new editor Cheryl Robson.

A talk on Vegetarianism and the Suffragettes will be given by Louise Quick, author and food historian.

You can also toast the victory of the suffragists and sample some of the food made from the collected recipes in the book.
