I am currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London, with research focused on contraception and motherhood in the 20th century novel. With two complete draft novels (The Marriage Amendment and All the Questions That Remain), I am actively pursuing representation for publication of my debut. While I am originally from Washington, D.C., I have a passion for London that necessitated moving across the ocean. As the oldest of six girls, my characters often have sisters and my stories explore the complications of motherhood today. The Marriage Amendment was longlisted for the Lucy Cavendish College Fiction Prize in 2019.
I have worked for 15 years in communications and public relations, and last year led a literature seminar of first-year university students.
