Byte the Book – How Can We Access Finance to Enable Innovative Creative Projects?

Director of Publisher Business Development at Ingram Content Group, Ruth Jones will chair a panel of judges and lead a short discussion on how to go about getting funding for your projects and what investors look for when putting their money behind businesses and individuals.  This will be followed by some Dragon's Den style pitching (see the list of pitchers below)

Not only is Ruth involved in promoting the businesses that Ingram buy but will also be able to talk about 1440, an incubator they run for publishing entrepreneurs. Ruth's panel of judges will include: Tony Littner (Head of Start-Ups and Venture Capital at Harbottle & Lewis), Michael Spalter (Entrepreneur and Angel Investor), Ricardo Fayet (Co-Founder of Reedsy) and Ilona Simpson (Ariadne Capital).

The four people we have pitching for investment come from across the creative industries spectrum and include:

Richard Mason  author and co-founder of Orson + Co

Nico Cary co-founder of Snaxapp

Tristan Abbot co-founder of Howdy

Madeleine Weightman   co-founder of The Work Crowd
