November 12, 2021
In this workshop hosted by chocolate expert and writer Cat Black we will look at the writers’ aim to write with all the senses. Attendees will receive a hand picked box from Cocoa Runners for use during the workshop. Through sensory games and discussions we will explore what makes flavour and how to express that on the page.
Cat's published writing to date is as a food writer. She is a member of The Guild of Food Writers, Grand Jury member of The International Chocolate Awards and tutor at The International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting. She has recently completed a book on hot chocolate for Knoops which will be published in September 2021.
She is co-author of Sex & Drugs & Sausage Rolls – the autobiography and recipe book of Michelin starred chef Graham Garrett (FACE Publications, October 2015), and author of The Great British Bake Off, Bake it Better – Chocolate (Hodder & Stoughton 2016). Cat has a longer career as an artist, under her maiden name Catherine Kurtz. She is represented by The Redfern Gallery, with her next upcoming show Pinned later in 2021.
Please book by Friday 22nd October to give Cocoa Runners time to send out your delicious chocolate.
