We’re delighted to announce that Byte the Book have teamed up with The Literary Consultancy to create a wonderful publishing, writing, digital and networking event on June 5th 2015. Combining key elements of TLC’s traditional Writing in a Digital Age Conference, and our own panel discussions and facilitated networking evenings. We are pleased to announced the inaugural Summer Digital Book Party aka #digibkparty15.
AFTERNOON SESSION: 3pm – 5.30pm
* A presentation of the latest self-publishing and publishing statistics from Nielsen Book Research, with Steve Bohme and freelance publishing authority Roger Tagholm.
*A session hosted by Claire Armitstead (The Guardian) talking about innovative projects and platforms and including: Dylan Collins (Super Awesome), Stuart Evers (NetGalley), Anna Jean Hughes (The Pigeonhole), Laurence Howell (Audible), Tom Hunersen (Spritz), and Sam Missingham (HarperCollins)
EVENING SESSION: 6pm – 8.45pm
* A mini keynote presentation about book marketing across modern publishing environments.
* Drinks, nibbles, music, facilitated networking, party-time.
* The return of TLC’s Pen Factor Writing Competition as you’ve never seen it before with a panel including: agents Patrick Walsh (Conville & Walsh), Tom Witcomb (Blake Friedmann), Hellie Ogden (Janklow & Nesbit), and editor of Gone Girl Kirsty Dunseath (Orion).
Admission to the TLC Pen Factor Writing Competition* is open to all who attend either the whole day or evening session only.
Then we go over to the Betsey Trotwood pub next door for a bit of knees up.
PRICE AND BOOKING:
There is a charge to attend this event but tickets include drinks and snacks and are heavily discounted for Byte the Book members and past clients of The Literary Consultancy.
Non-member tickets are £115 for the full day and £60 for an evening ticket (6pm onwards).
Member tickets are £65 for a full day and £35 just for the evening.
All prices are inclusive of booking fees and VAT.
